As a cooperative, we put a share of our profits directly back into the community through patronage and dividends. Each Spring, members look forward to a cheque arriving in the mail in a distinctive green envelope. We’ve given back over $16m (and counting) in total.

WHICH ACCOUNTS QUALIFY AS SHARE ACCOUNTS?

One share account will be opened separately from your day-to-day operating accounts for each membership.

WHAT DO I GET WITH A SHARE ACCOUNT?

The key benefits to a share account means you become part of a cooperative and given voting rights in the democratic process as well as given back money each year in patronage and dividends.

WHAT CAN I DO WITH A SHARE ACCOUNT?

You can withdrawal from your share account so long as the appropriate share value remains. If you are a golden member then $5 must remain.

WHEN AND HOW DO I RECEIVE PATRONAGE?

Patronage is a calculated amount deposited back into your account in the spring of every year.

HOW MUCH MONEY DO I RECEIVE?

The amount given back to each member depends on financial performance and the types of accounts held by each member. In 2021 juniors received $51 as a base amount.

Make an appointment online or visit your nearest branch to open an account. You just need to bring two current, primary pieces of ID, your Social Insurance Number, and an initial cash or cheque deposit.
